Your quit stays on your phone

The short version. Liberto has no accounts and no sign-up. Your quit record — your progress, streak, cravings, slips and everything you have listened to — is stored on your phone. To learn which parts of the app help people, the app also sends anonymous usage events, including the options you pick during onboarding. They are tied to a random identifier, never to your name, email or phone number, and never to anything you type as text.

What stays on your device

Your onboarding answers, your quit date, completed sessions, streak, cravings resisted, slips, your reminder time, your language, and any audio you download are stored in the app's own storage on your phone. Deleting the app deletes all of it permanently. There is no backup on our side and no way for us to restore it.

That is the complete list. Usage events are processed for us by PostHog, and only to improve Liberto. Liberto contains no advertising and no tracking pixels, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not sell or share your data. Nothing you type as free text is ever sent. Settings → Reset all data also gives the app a new random identifier, so events sent afterwards are not linked to earlier ones.

Three pieces of other people's code are in the app. The subscription service and the usage-events service named above are two. The third is Android's notification system, which is what lets your daily reminder appear — reminders are created and stored on your phone, we operate no push server, and no device token is ever registered or sent. It is present in the app and never contacted.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google. Payment happens entirely inside their systems — Liberto never sees your card details, your name, or your billing address. We use RevenueCat to check whether a purchase is active. It receives an anonymous identifier and the store receipt; it does not receive your answers, your quit data, or what you listened to.

Notifications

The daily reminder — and, if you chose a quit date ahead and said yes to reminders, one note the evening before it — is scheduled locally by your phone. No push server is involved and no device token is sent anywhere. Turning reminders off — in the app or in your phone's settings — stops them completely.

Children

Liberto is rated 12+ and made for people who smoke or vape. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Your quit record never leaves your device, so the requests people usually make under GDPR and similar laws are things you can do yourself, instantly. Settings → Reset all data erases everything on the phone; deleting the app removes the rest. Usage events are held under a random identifier that we cannot connect to your name or email, which also means we cannot look yours up from a request. If you have questions about them, write to us.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what leaves your device, we will update the date above and say so in the app's release notes.

What we promise, and what we don't

Liberto is not medical care. It offers relaxation and behavioural-support audio. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure anything, and it is not a substitute for advice from a doctor. If you have a medical or psychological condition — including epilepsy, psychosis, or a heart condition — speak to a professional before using hypnosis audio, and before changing anything about your smoking.

Safety while listening

Sessions are built to relax you deeply, and some are built to help you fall asleep. Never listen while driving, cycling, operating machinery, or doing anything that needs your attention. Listen somewhere you can safely sit or lie down.

The promise

We promise the sessions are carefully written, that the app works as described, and that your data stays on your phone. We do not promise you will stop smoking. Quitting depends on you, and no app, method, or recording can guarantee an outcome. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.

Subscription terms

Liberto offers an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks the full 21-day program, the sleep sessions, the recovery session, and weekly maintenance.
The introduction session, the SOS craving session, and the full progress tracker are free forever and need no subscription.
Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Renewal is charged within 24 hours of that point.
Manage or cancel any time in your Apple or Google account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Prices appear in the app before purchase and vary by country.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. We cannot issue them directly, but tell us what happened and we will help you ask.

Your content and ours

The audio, the scripts, and the app belong to us. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to listen for your own use. Please do not re-record, redistribute, or republish the sessions.

If something breaks

We build carefully and we test, but software has bugs. Liberto is provided as-is, and our liability is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer law of your own country.

Support

Something not working?

Write to liran909090@gmail.com and a person will answer. Include your phone model, your app version (Settings, at the bottom), and what happened.

Things you can fix in a minute

A purchase isn't showing up. Reinstalling or switching phones can leave the app unaware of an active subscription — use Restore purchases on the subscription screen.
A session won't play. Downloaded sessions play offline; ones you haven't downloaded need a connection. Check Settings → Downloaded sessions.
Reminders aren't arriving. Notifications have to be allowed for Liberto in your phone's system settings, not only in the app.
You want to start over. Settings → Reset all data clears everything and takes you back to the beginning.

If you are in crisis — struggling with your mental health rather than with cigarettes — please contact a local emergency service or a crisis line. Liberto is not equipped to help with that, and we would rather say so plainly than pretend otherwise.

Deleting your data

Erase everything, in ten seconds

Liberto has no accounts and no server of its own, so almost everything it knows about you is only on your phone. You can erase all of it yourself, without asking anyone:

Scroll to the bottom and tap Erase all data

What that erases, immediately and permanently

Your onboarding answers — what you smoke or vape, how much, how long, your triggers and your reasons
Your quit date, completed sessions, streak, cravings resisted and slips
Your daily reminder, and any reminders already scheduled on the device
Every audio session you downloaded for offline listening

Deleting the app from your phone erases the same things. There is no backup on our side, and no way for us to restore any of it. Anonymous usage events already sent (see the privacy policy) are not on your phone and are not erased by this; resetting gives the app a new random identifier, so nothing sent afterwards is linked to them.

The one thing that is not on your phone

Your subscription record is held by our subscription provider, RevenueCat, and by Apple or Google, so that a paid subscription can be restored when you change phones. It contains a purchase history and an anonymous identifier — no name, no email, no address.

To have that deleted too, write to liran909090@gmail.com with the subject “delete my data”. A person will reply, and the record is removed within 30 days. Deleting it ends the ability to restore that subscription on a new device; the subscription itself is cancelled through your Apple or Google account, which we cannot do for you.
